Ati-Atihan Festival

Boracay Island is part of Aklan. They always have an annual celebration of the feast of the Sto. Nino. Having Ati-Atihan Festival or Parade is their way of celebrating. The costumes that they use were made of “Walis Tambo” and their body is painted with color black and their face is painted with color black and white. They also have a big Hair dress. The Parade is the most important part of the Festival. Once you encounter this festival, you would definitely be amazed by the colorful and lively street dance with the energizing drum beats. They always say “Viva Santo Nino” which means Salute for the Santo Nino.
